Even if there is a lockdown, the farmers' movement will continue: Rakesh Tikait

Rakesh Tikait, national spokesperson of the Indian Farmers Union, said at the UP Gate on Friday that even if there was a lockdown, the farmers' agitation would continue. He said farmers have been sitting on UP Gay, Indus Border and Tikri Border for five months. In a way the farmers have settled their village here. If there is a lockdown, won't people stay inside the village?

He said his rules would be followed if the lockdown was implemented. Village farmers will not come here, but those who are here will stay here and the movement will continue. Answering a question about vaccination, he said that I have taken the first dose of vaccine. Talks are underway with the surrounding administration for vaccination of farmers sitting on the border. All people will be vaccinated.

It may be mentioned that farmers have been sitting on agitation at UP Gate since November 28. Due to which people coming to Delhi from UP Gate are facing a huge problem. Today, the Uttar Pradesh government has decided to implement a lockdown every Sunday. Now it remains to be seen how the farmers perform or behave on this day.
