Opposition to a possible complete lockdown has begun in Maharashtra amid the Corona riots. Udayan Raje Bhonsle, a descendant of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and a BJP MP, sat on the road on Saturday with a bowl in his hand to beg. "Weekend lockdown has affected traders and it is time for the poor to go to bed hungry," he said.

Bhonsle had deposited Rs 450 from the begging movement and reached the district collector's office. He met with the collector and demanded a reconsideration of the lockdown. "There is no expertise in the state government," he said. Lockdown may not be the solution to the problem. Merchants have bought goods by borrowing in view of the festivals. If the shops do not open now, how will the bank pay the installments. He also said in a warning tone that they would declare a "no lockdown" from tomorrow. If there is a conflict anywhere, it will be the responsibility of the Thackeray government.

Patil grows wheat in support

In this regard, MP Srinivas Patil in Satara planted wheat in the field in support of the lockdown. Patil defeated Udayanraj Bhonsle in the Lok Sabha by-election. Patil was seen working on a farm in support of the lockdown, wearing a white T-shirt and black track pants on his head.
