Balochistan: 4 killed, 13 injured in bomb blast at hotel where Chinese ambassador was staying

A blast in the parking lot of a hotel in Quetta, the capital of Balochistan, has killed four people and injured 13 others. It is learned that the Chinese ambassador was staying with his delegation at a luxury hotel in Quetta. At that moment, a series of explosions erupted in the hotel parking lot.

Pakistan's Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed confirmed that at least four people had been killed and 12 others injured. However, the Chinese ambassador was out at the time of the explosion. A senior police official claimed that an IED was planted in a vehicle in the initial investigation.

Police said two people were seriously injured and were being treated at a hospital. He also said the hotel premises had been closed after the blast on Wednesday night. The anti-terrorism department has been deployed there following the blast.
