A Naxal attack at Bijapur in Chhattisgarh killed 22 soldiers. Following this cowardly move by the Naxals, the Home Ministry has entered into action mode and a major operation against the Naxals is being prepared. Union Home Minister Amit Shah reached Jagdalpur in Chhattisgarh on Monday and paid tributes to the martyred soldiers.

Amit Shah also held a high-level meeting on the Naxal issue, which was attended by intelligence agencies as well as paramilitary officials. Amit Shah said the sacrifices of the soldiers would be remembered and would not be allowed to go in vain. He also said that the fight against the Naxals had reached a decisive stage. He directed to expedite development works in the tribal areas as well as expedite action against the Naxals.

The operation against the Naxals will be intensified following the directives of the Home Minister. At the same time, the help of human intelligence and technical intelligence will also be sought. NTRO will also help security agencies by providing real-time information. Security agencies will soon carry out a major operation by compiling a list of the most wanted Naxalite commanders.

It is learned that the most wanted Naxalite commander will be targeted for brainwashing innocent youth under Operation Prahar-3 and inciting them to join Naxalite activities. The security forces have compiled a list of top commanders, including Hidma, the largest commander of the PLGA-1. It is learned that Hidma could attack the security forces by hiding in the dry forests.
