New Delhi, April 21, 2021, Wednesday

Amid the increasing transition to corona, the central government has drawn up an ambitious and nationwide plan to vaccinate against corona.

In the next three and a half months, all people over the age of 18 in the country will be vaccinated. For this, about 10 lakh vaccination centers will be set up across the country. Apart from this, a plan has also been prepared to vaccinate people from door to door. According to health ministry sources, the vaccine, which is being administered in various countries around the world, will also be made available in India.

PM Modi has announced to vaccinate people above the age of 18 from May 1 across the country. For this, Vitrago, including the Union Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Home Affairs, has been working on it for the last few months.

A member of the Central Government's Committee on Immunization said that the target is to vaccinate all people over the age of 18 in the country by August 15. Coordination is being done with all the states in the country.

According to sources, only two companies have vaccines available in our country at present. However, 130 million people have been vaccinated so far and in a few days many alternatives to foreign vaccines will be available. States have been directed to start vaccination centers and states have started working on it at their own level.

Teams working at the ground level of the state health ministries are also being trained to administer the vaccine at home. In addition, help from social organizations as well as teams from the corporate sector will be sought.

The government has also started the process of importing vaccines used in various countries.
