Tractors are farmers' tanks, barricades will be demolished in next agitation: Rakesh Tikait

New delhi date. 5 March 2021, Friday

Rakesh Tikait, the leader of the farmers' movement on the Delhi border, has now threatened on social media that there will be no barricades in the movement in the country and if there is, it will be demolished.

“Tractors are tanks for farmers and one tractor from each village, 15 farmers and their 10 days are needed to fight a long battle,” Tikait said. This is the formula to move the movement forward. Farmers will not back down until the new laws are withdrawn and preparations have been made to protest for an indefinite period.

He also said that the government was acting as a puppet in the hands of businessmen. The government works exactly as the traders tell the government. Earlier the government had set up godowns so that traders could collect goods from farmers and now it has made laws for that.

Earlier, Tikaitai had said that the government was silent on the issue of farmers' agitation and it showed that the government was in the mood to take any major action against the farmers. The government will have to come forward with a proposal to resume dialogue with farmers.
