The government made this important announcement regarding the PM Kisan Scheme launched to provide financial assistance to farmers

The government has no proposal to increase the amount provided under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. Agriculture Minister Narendrasinh Tomar on Tuesday informed Parliament that in such a situation, farming families would be given financial assistance of Rs 6,000 a year as before. It may be mentioned here that under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sanman Nidhi Yojana, Rs 2,000 is sent directly to the bank accounts of the country's farmers in three installments. In this way financial help of Rs. 6,000 is given throughout the year. Aadhaar card has become required after December 1, 2019 to avail this scheme.

Allocation and approval under this scheme is not given state-wise. As many as 70,82,035 farming families in Rajasthan have been given the benefit of this scheme to cover various installments. He said that Rs 7,632.695 crore has been spent in the state under this scheme. He said the number of beneficiaries in Ganganagar district of Rajasthan is 1,45,799 while the number of beneficiaries in Dausa district is 1,71,661.

Replying to another question on recovery of funds from unqualified farmers under PM Kisan Yojana in Maharashtra, the minister said the central government had collected about Rs 78.37 crore on March 11 this year. In such a case the money is taken back from the persons who took the money properly.
