The CBI will also investigate the recruitment scam in the Indian Army

Scams in government recruitment are frequently reported. The eclipse is now expected to affect the Indian Army as well.

The decision to hand over the entire case to the CBI has been taken following a confidential report alleging irregularities in recruitment at some recruitment centers. The army has said that any case of corruption cannot be ignored.

The scandal has surfaced in the Army's own intelligence agency's investigation and since then Army officials have been on high alert. However, more than one agency seems to be involved in the recruitment scam and it has been decided to hand over the investigation of the entire case to the CBI.

The Indian Army says corruption in the selection of candidates cannot be tolerated under any circumstances.
