Suspicious death of BJP MP Ramswaroop Sharma, body found hanging in corridor at Delhi residence

BJP MP Ramaswaroop Sharma from Himachal Pradesh's Mandi Lok Sabha seat has died under suspicious circumstances. The MP's residence is located in a flat near RML Hospital in Delhi. The body of 62-year-old MP Ramaswaroop was found hanging with a noose in the flat and the cause of suicide has not been ascertained yet.

Delhi Police received news that BJP MP Ramaswaroop Sharma had committed suicide at his Gomti apartment this morning. Police officers who arrived at the scene found his body hanging with a noose. The motive for the suicide is unclear and police have launched an investigation.

Ramswaroop Sharma's staff said that when they went to open the door of the room in the morning, it was locked from the inside and despite shouting several times, it was not opened. Police were later called and the MP's body was hanging from a gallows when police broke down the door.

Parliamentary party meeting canceled

Due to the death of MP Ramaswaroop Sharma, the BJP has canceled today's parliamentary party meeting. Ramswaroop Sharma, a resident of Jogindernagar in Himachal Pradesh's Mandi district, became an MP for the second time in a row. He was associated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh for a long time. Before becoming an MP, he was the BJP secretary in Mandi district and later the BJP secretary in Himachal Pradesh. He is also the Chairman of the Food and Civil Supplies Corporation of Himachal.
