Sick Lalu Prasad gets one more blow, jail sentence extended

Former Bihar CM Lalu Prasad, who is serving a jail term in various fodder scam cases, is facing increasing difficulties.

On the one hand, Lalu Prasad is battling kidney ailments and is currently being treated at the Delhi AIIMS. Now, however, he has suffered another blow. He has been given four weeks to undergo treatment at the Delhi AIIMS but this period will be added to his sentence. His sentence has been extended for another four weeks.

According to jail superintendent Hamid Akhtar, Lalu Prasad was allowed to be sent to Delhi AIIMS by the jail IG for treatment but doctors have asked for another four weeks due to his health condition. However, his sentence has been extended.

Apart from this, Lalu Prasad Yadav's phone case has come up against the negligence of some jail staff. They will also be prosecuted in this regard. According to the report of the inquiry committee, the mobile reached Lalu due to negligence of the employees.

Lalu Prasad has already been granted bail in three fodder cases and his bail application is still pending in another case.
