Nationalist Congress Party leader Nawab Malik had informed party president Sharad Pawar that he had been admitted to hospital after complaining of abdominal pain. Sharad Pawar has been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. He was feeling extremely uncomfortable due to the pain and the investigation revealed that he had a problem with his gallbladder.

NCP leader Nawab Malik tweeted that Sharad Pawar would be kept in hospital till March 31. During this time they will have endoscopy and surgery and then they will be discharged. All programs of the NCP President have been canceled till further notice.

The political atmosphere was heated on Friday evening when news broke that two senior NCP leaders, Sharad Pawar and Praful Patel, had met Union Home Minister Amit Shah. It is learned that Sharad Pawar and Praful Patel reached Ahmedabad on Friday evening and from there went to Gandhinagar. He is believed to have made some secret visits to Gandhinagar.
