The woman has been undergoing treatment at a hospital in the capital Bamako for the past two weeks. It has become necessary to constantly monitor the status of the abnormal pregnancy. The 7-year-old woman was not named in the local media but is a resident of Timbuktu, north of Mali. The government has decided to bear all the expenses of this woman's treatment.
