Punjab CM Amarinder Singh personally donated Rs 2 lakh for the Ram temple

New delhi date. 10 March 2021, Wednesday

Punjab CM Capt Amarinder Singh has donated Rs 2 lakh from his personal account for the Ram temple to be built in Ayodhya. The captain handed over his check to the team collecting donations for the Ram temple. The captain has personally made the donation. Earlier, some other Congress leaders have also donated for the Ram temple.

March 7 was the last day for donations to the Ram Mandir in Punjab. The time limit for collecting donations for the Ram Mandir in Punjab was extended. As a result, the exercise for donations continued till March 7.

It may be mentioned that donations of Rs 2500 crore have been received from all over the country for the Ram temple. Political figures are also not far behind in donating. From PM Modi onwards, the President and other leaders have donated to the temple. The highest donation of Rs 515 crore for the Ram temple came from the state of Rajasthan.
