Protesting farmers on the Delhi border are now building pucca houses, preparing to escape the heat

New delhi date. 13 March 2021, Saturday

Farmers have been protesting on the borders of Delhi for the last 108 days. Now these farmers are constructing pucca houses on the exhibition site. Construction of brick houses is underway on the Indus border. A brick wall is being built for the house. Now a paved roof will also be filled on it. The walls of these houses will be covered with clay on the outside and concrete on the inside.

Construction work has been started here since last March 10. Farmer leader Manjit Rai said that the construction work of this pucca house has been started by the farmers keeping in view the heat. Houses are being built to escape the scorching heat. The inherited traits of the people of Punjab are that they eat well, dress well and live well. So they are now constructing a pucca building and AC will also be installed inside it. Inside will be elderly farmers and women.

Manjit Rai said the SHO of Kundli police station came yesterday and stopped work. But I will not stop this work. There will be a pucca building here and we will stay in it until the government accepts our demand. We are ready for that even if we have to stay till 2024.

Farmers feel that the government will not accept their demand and the agitation will last for a long time, which is why they are building pucca houses. This is not the work of the United Farmers Front, but some farmers are building houses on their own level. Apart from this, fans, coolers, AC and cold water have been provided to protect against heat.
