Prime Minister Modi sends oath of office to Tirath Singh Rawat

BJP MP Tirath Singh Rawat from Garhwal in Uttarakhand has been sworn in as Chief Minister. He has become the 11th Chief Minister of Uttarakhand. In Uttarakhand, 9 people have been sworn in as Chief Minister so far. He was elected party leader at a meeting of the BJP MLAs in Dehradun on Wednesday.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Tirath Singh Rawat on taking oath as the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand. He tweeted that he brings with him vast administrative and organizational experience. I am confident that under his leadership the state will touch new heights of progress.

After being elected as the Chief Minister of the state, Tirath Singh Rawat said that he would work with all, he said that he would fulfill the responsibility entrusted to him with utmost sincerity. "The party has given me this opportunity and I am very grateful to the party leadership for that," he said.
