Outside goons threatening voters in Nandigram, accuses Mamata Banerjee

Calcutta, Ta. 31. Wednesday, March 2021

The entire country is watching the Nandigram seat in the West Bengal Assembly elections, where her one-time special and now BJP leader Shubhendu Adhikari is contesting against CM Mamata Banerjee.

An order has been issued here to enforce Section 144 when voting for these seats is also to be held in the second phase. No more than five people can gather at one place till the polling ends tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Mamata Banerjee has alleged that BJP has sent goons from other states to intimidate Nandigram voters. These goons are fleeing the people and threatening voters. We have lodged a complaint with the Election Commission.

Against which the BJP is saying that Mamata Banerjee has realized that she is losing. That is why she is making such claims.

The Election Commission has deployed 22 companies of the Central Reserve Force in view of the possibility of violence in Nandigram. Voting for 30 seats, including Nandigram, is scheduled for tomorrow.
