Thiruvananthapuram, Ta. Tuesday 30 March 2021

In the midst of the ongoing election battle in five states, the time has come for leaders to make false statements. A former MP has used catastrophic language against Congress MP Rahul Gandhi. Congress is outraged at former MP Joyce George's statement at the rally and is urging the Election Commission to file a complaint.

George, who was addressing a rally for Kerala government minister MM Mani in Idukki district, targeted Rahul Gandhi's election campaign.

The former MP said that Rahul Gandhi's election campaign is that he will go to a girls' college. Where they will teach young women to be bands. I tell the kids not to do that, just stand up straight in front of them.

Former MP Joel George further said that Rahul Gandhi is not married, so he goes to such events.

At the time when the former MP was making this statement, MM Mani was present on the stage and was laughing. This statement is being opposed by the Congress party. Joyce has been an independent MP since George Idukki.

All assembly seats in Kerala are scheduled to go to polls on April 6, while the result will be the same on May 2. The pre-poll campaign is in full swing. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is an MP from Wayanad in Kerala, in which he is constantly campaigning in the state.
