MoU with Japanese company for 6 km bullet train route between Vadodara-Vapi

A MoU has been signed between National High Speed ​​Rail Corporation Limited and Japan Railway Track Consultancy Company. The company will design a 6 km bullet train route between Vadodara and Vapi.
Under the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project, the National High Speed ​​Rail Corporation of India has entered into agreements with the Japan Railway Track Consultancy Company to design a 6 km route between Vadodara and Vapi.
A virtual meeting was held between the Japanese company and top officials of India. In addition to various Indian officials, all issues were discussed between the officials of the Japanese Embassy and the officials of the Japanese Railway Company.
Under the MoU, the Japanese company will provide design and drawing of various items ranging from design of 8 km long route to India.
A joint statement said the MoU would be "very important". This will further strengthen cooperation between India and Japan on high speed railways. In addition, this MoU is important under the Make in India project.
It may be mentioned that a bullet train project worth Rs 1.05 lakh crore was announced between India and Japan in 2016. The government plans to run the bullet train between Ahmedabad and Mumbai at a distance of 205 km.
