More than 3,000 frightened by military strikes infiltrate Thailand: Troops kill 423 civilians in Myanmar in one month, fearing civil war could erupt anytime

Military chiefs of more than a dozen countries, including the United States, Britain and Australia, have issued a joint statement condemning the killings.

Yangon: Violent protests have erupted in Myanmar since the military took power. Meanwhile, the army continues to crack down on protesters. A large number of bodies were cremated in Myanmar on Sunday.

The bodies belonged to protesters who have died as a result of military atrocities. Meanwhile on Sunday Karen carried out airstrikes on villages in the state in which several civilians were killed. More than 3,000 civilians were fleeing Myanmar's border to neighboring Thailand.

A large number of protests continued in Myanmar on Sunday. The army has also fired heavily on people. The funeral procession of pro-democracy protesters took place in several cities in Myanmar, including Yangon, Mikitila, Moniva and Mandalay, before the funeral.

At least 423 people have been killed in violence in Myanmar since the first day of the coup. On Saturday alone, 114 people were killed. The military ruled Myanmar for five decades, although Aung San Suu Kyi campaigned in support of democracy and formed a government that did not last long and again lost power to the military.

Many protesters are being killed by the military, which is also being condemned internationally. "I am deeply shocked by the open killings of civilians, including children, in Myanmar," said US Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.

Military leaders from more than a dozen countries have condemned the atrocities and killings by Myanmar's military. These countries include Australia, Canada, Germany, Greece, Italy, Japan, Denmark, Netherlands, New Zealand, South Korea, UK, USA.

The international human rights organization Amnesty International also condemned the incident, saying there was no international outcry against Myanmar's military atrocities, which was "tragic." Military atrocities have been condemned by the United Nations but no major steps have been taken to stop them.

As a result, the military is currently openly killing people in Myanmar. Myanmar, on the other hand, is now in the throes of a civil war. More than 3,000 villagers fled Myanmar to neighboring Thailand after airstrikes in the state of Karen. At present there is an atmosphere of fear among the people. And there is a tendency for civil war to break out at any time.
