Now director Mira Nair's new web series A Suitable Boy is also embroiled in a similar controversy. The film tells the love story of an older woman and a younger man. Tabu as a woman and Ishaan Khattar as a young man. The Home Minister of Madhya Pradesh has also expressed his displeasure over some scenes in the series.

"There are a lot of offensive scenes in this series, in which a young man kisses Yavati and sings bhajans in the background. Obviously this is an act that hurts Hindu sentiments and I have ordered the authorities to take action against Netflix and the producer director of the series Examine whether action can be taken.

Gaurav Tiwari, the leader of the BJP's youth front in Madhya Pradesh, first objected to it by posting the scene on Twitter, saying, "I have also lodged a complaint with the police against this. However, the matter may become serious as the Madhya Pradesh Home Minister has jumped into the controversy." .

Recently, the government has decided to cover online content under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting so that such controversies can be curbed.
