The politics of West Bengal is taking very interesting turns. On the one hand, the Bharatiya Janata Party has launched a campaign against Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee following the election with slogans of Hindutva and Jai Shri Ram. Then Mamata is also preparing to hit Choggo if she gets a chance on this pitch of soft Hindutva. In response to BJP's Ram's slogan, Mamata has opened Lord Shiva's card. He has chosen the day of Mahashivaratri Parva to register his candidature in the elections.

Mamata Banerjee has decided to contest from Nandigram seat in Medinipur this time. He is likely to contest from both his old constituencies of Bhawanipur and Nandigram. He has chosen March 11 to register his candidature at Nandigram and that day is also the day of Mahashivaratri.

According to a report, Mamata Banerjee wants to prove that she is a devotee of Shiva by registering her candidature on the day of Mahashivaratri. Because, in Hinduism, any big work is done on a holy day or occasion. Mamata wants to respond to BJP's slogan of Jai Shri Ram by choosing the day of Mahashivaratri for candidature as per the discussion in political circles.
