Sonam Wangchuk, a Real Life Rancho from the film Three Idiots and a Magsaysay Award winner, is working on a project to build an ice tunnel on the Srinagar-Leh Highway. Sonam shared this information by sharing a video of her on social media.

According to Sonam, the construction of the Jojila tunnel on the Srinagar-Leh highway will bring huge relief to transport. Sonam also visited Jojila Top on Friday. According to him, the construction of the tunnel will save 500 tonnes of carbon dioxide and crores of rupees every year. He described the project as very challenging and said there would be fears of snowstorms and avalanches on the surrounding roads.

Sonam also recently built a solar-heated military tent for the army. The army tent will be able to use the tent in cool places like Siachen and Galvan Valley. Wangchuk has done a lot of research for the environment.
