Jammu and Kashmir: Jaish A Mohammed's top commander killed by security forces

Today is the third day of the ongoing encounter between security forces and militants in Jammu and Kashmir and the security forces have tightened the noose on the militants.

Meanwhile, after hours of firing, the security forces today foiled another terrorist, identified as Jaish-e-Mohammed's top commander Wilayat alias Sajjad Afghani. Kashmir zone IG Vijay Kumar congratulated the security forces on the successful operation. Sajjad's death is a great success for the security forces.

Earlier on Sunday, another militant, Jahangir Ahmed Wani, was also shot dead by Jaish-e-Mohammed. A policeman and a civilian were also injured in the operation, which also damaged three houses.

Security forces have cordoned off the entire area since Saturday. The militants then started firing, to which the security forces retaliated. Meanwhile, the militants abducted six civilians but released them safely on Saturday night.

During the operation, a mob tried to disrupt the security forces' operation but was thwarted by force.
