In the police recruitment in Chhattisgarh, 15 kinsmen have also been selected for the first time for police jobs. Earlier in the states of Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan, Kinnaroo was also recruited in the police department. However, this is the first time in the country that more than a dozen concubines have been given a chance in Chhattisgarh. The decision was taken by the police in 2012 but it has taken about three years to implement it. A total of 203 constables have been recruited after the results of the recruitment test taken in 2013-2014.

According to the information received, in addition to the selection of 12, 3 kinsmen are still in the waiting list. In 2014, transgender people were recognized as third gender by the Supreme Court. Kinners were told to have the same constitutional rights as men and women but there was still no significant change in the social status of kinsmen. There is also discrimination in jobs and employment. Kinners are not selected even if they are considered educated or qualified for the job. As a result, they are often forced to beg. According to a source, the number of third genders in India in the 2011 census was 2.2 lakh. However, the number of kinsmen is believed to be higher than the census data.
