If Rahul Gandhi remembered Scindia, how did Scindia react?

New Delhi, March 8, 2021, Tuesday

According to media reports, a day ago, former Congress president Rahul Gandhi, while addressing the leaders of the Youth Congress, recalled Jyotiraditya Scindia, who left the Congress party last year and joined the BJP. Rahul Gandhi said that if Scindia had stayed in the Congress, he would have become the Chief Minister now but now he has become a backbencher in the BJP. You keep writing that he will never be able to stay in the BJP and become the Chief Minister. He (in the Congress) has to come back.

There is a lot of political speculation about Rahul Gandhi's statement. Either the Congress needs Scindia or they were mocking Scindia's bleak future. Regarding his mention in the Youth Congress meeting, Jyotiraditya Scindia has responded that it would have been better if Rahul Gandhi was as worried as he is now when he was in the Congress. However, citing the Youth Congress president, according to some media reports, Rahul Gandhi gave the example of Scindia in the sense that he could join any party or be free to leave.

What was the sequence of Scindia leaving the Congress and joining the BJP?

In the last assembly elections, the Congress formed a government in Madhya Pradesh with a simple majority. The two contenders for the chief ministership were Kamal Nath, a veteran, and Jyotiraditya Scindia, a bright young leader. Out of which, the Congress High Command selected Kamal Nath and there was a growing dispute between Scindia and Kamal Nath. In the end, Scindia revolted with 20 MLAs and put the Kamal Nath government in trouble. After a long political drama and resort politics, Scindia joined the BJP on March 11, 2020 with 20 MLAs.

Lacking a majority, Kamal Nath's resignation as chief minister opened the door to power for the BJP. Shivraj Singh Chauhan had the opportunity to become the Chief Minister again. Scindia managed to win re-election in the by-elections on the seats vacated by the resignation of 30 Congress MLAs. Some of his loyalists have received ministerial posts, including in the cabinet. The BJP has also made Scindia a member of the Rajya Sabha, but in Madhya Pradesh, besides the government, Shivraj Singh Chauhan, who has experience in the party and organization, is more dominant than Scindia.
