The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has once again targeted the Maharashtra government in a Rs 100 crore recovery case from Mumbai pubs and bars. Former state chief minister Devendra Fadnavis said bribery was rampant in the deployment of officers at large posts in Maharashtra and the Uddhav government had taken action against the officer who disclosed it.

Former Chief Minister Fadnavis said, "During my tenure as Chief Minister and Home Minister in 2017, a racket was foiled by the Intelligence Commission. We intercepted some calls with the necessary approval from the Upper Chief Secretary of the House, in which some big names came up. '

The former Chief Minister said, “A detailed report was prepared by the COI which was handed over to the DG and ACS Home on August 25, 2020. It demanded an in-depth probe, informed the Chief Minister (Uddhav Thackeray) of the seriousness and also expressed concern. I have 6.3 GB of complete call data. '

"The chief minister sent the report to the home minister. Instead of taking action on the report, intelligence commissioner Rashmi Shukla faced action," Fadnavis said. He was not honored for disclosing the big names and no action was taken on the report. In addition, the accused were promoted in the interception.

Referring to Rashmi Shukla's report, Fadnavis said that money is being paid for high level posts in Maharashtra Police. At the same time, he has sought the time of the Union Home Secretary and assured that he would demand a CBI probe into the entire case.
