Ghaziabad: Delhi-Lucknow Shatabdi parcel coach fire under control, train departs

A fire broke out in the generator car of Shatabdi Express at Ghaziabad. A fire broke out in a parcel coach of a Delhi-Lucknow Shatabdi train at Ghaziabad station and railway officials rushed to the spot. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the blaze.

The fire in the parcel van was brought under control immediately so that the rest of the coaches were not harmed. The parcel coach that caught fire was separated at Ghaziabad station and the train was dispatched. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained but six fire department vehicles rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.

The last bogie of the train That is, the generator and luggage vehicle caught fire so that the bogie was separated from the train and the fire was contained. Earlier on March 13, a coach of a Shatabdi train traveling from Delhi to Dehradun caught fire due to a short circuit.
