Fire at Delhi's Safdarjung Hospital, 60 patients shifted

The fire broke out at Delhi's Safdarjung Hospital on Wednesday morning. The fire broke out in the medicine department on the first floor at 6:35 am. The fire then spread to Ward 11 of H Block. However, 60 patients from the ICU ward had already been shifted to another location.

The fire was brought under control after a great effort and fortunately no casualties were reported. The fire broke out at 6:35 a.m. and was reported to the fire department, according to a statement issued by Safdarjung Hospital.

Nine fire department vehicles then rushed to the spot and more than 60 patients were shifted to another location with the help of hospital staff. Fortunately the fire has been contained and no casualties have been reported.
