Death of Tanzanian president known as 'bulldozer' mocks Corona

Tanzanian President John Magufuli has died at the age of 61. Tanzania's Vice President Samia Suluhu confirmed Magufuli's death. John Magufuli is suspected to be infected with Corona but has not yet been confirmed. President John Magufuli has not been seen at a public event since February 27 and has been the subject of speculation since then. He is also said to have been secretly treating Corona.

Were famous for aggressive leadership

President Magufuli often attended Sunday church services but was not seen at any public events after February 27. There was talk that he was ill and was being treated abroad. He gained much popularity in 2010 when he was appointed Transport Minister for the second time in Tanzania. He was nicknamed the 'Bulldozer' for his aggressive leadership and fight against corruption in the road construction industry.

Myth about Corona

John Magufuli was first elected President in 2015. He was re-elected president in 2020. He was among the presidents of countries that did not take the risk of corona seriously. He made a statement meaning that God would save him from Corona and that the people of Tanzania would be protected by treatments such as sniffing. He mocked the Corona virus test, calling the vaccine dangerous and a conspiracy by Western nations. He also opposed measures such as wearing masks and social distance. Tanzania's main opposition leader has claimed that Magufuli Korona is infected and is undergoing treatment in India.
