Lucknow, Dt

The Special Task Force arrested Salim, a Nepali national living in a madrassa in Ayodhya. He lived in a madrassa hiding his identity. Salim came to Ayodhya after the Supreme Court verdict on the Shri Ramjanma Bhoomi temple. Terrorist outfits in Jammu and Kashmir, on the other hand, have allegedly recruited youths from the border region of Bihar for terror funding. It has been revealed that these youths were given a 'good commission' to smuggle counterfeit notes from Nepal to Jammu and Kashmir.

STF ADG Amitabh Yash said that Salim, a Nepali national, had forged documents and confiscated Aadhar card, Nepali passport, educational certificates and mobile SIM card. He is believed to be conspiring with anti-national enemies in Ayodhya. Salim came to Ayodhya after the Supreme Court decision on the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple and lived in a madrassa here. Before this he lived in Bhinga of Shravasti. Salim is a resident of Lakshanpur in Nepalganj, Nepal.

STF officials say Salim has lived in Egypt for about seven years. He graduated from Al Azhar University in Cairo. He has also toured Pakistan and Bangladesh. Preliminary investigations into the mobile phone revealed that Salim was linked to citizens of other countries, including Pakistan, Egypt, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Sudan.

Meanwhile, some terrorist outfits in Jammu and Kashmir have been allegedly luring youths from the border areas of Bihar to do terror funding work and giving them money from the 'commission' to smuggle counterfeit notes from Nepal into Jammu and Kashmir. The shocking revelation came in the interrogation of an accused named Mohammad Parvez.

Border security forces arrested Pervez from the Indo-Nepal border in Araria district. From him Rs. Counterfeit notes of Rs 500 and Rs 500.5 lakh were seized. During questioning, Pervez said he was depositing money in the bank accounts of some people in Jammu and Kashmir and Maharashtra with the help of customer service in-charge of private banks. Parvez, a resident of Araria district, said he was getting fake Indian currency notes from Nepal. His elder brother Mohammad Tabarez was also involved in this dirty business for a long time. With this, the security forces have been alerted on the Nepal-India border.
