BJP's scandal in Tamil Nadu, photo of Karti Chidambaram's wife posted in campaign video

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which is gearing up to strengthen its roots in Tamil Nadu, has been on the campaign front. The BJP's Tamil Nadu unit posted a video of the party as part of the campaign. But the female artiste shown in the video was Srinidhi Chidambaram, the wife of Congress MP Karti Chidambaram. The BJP removed the video from its Twitter account after the revelation.

Former Union Minister P. Srinidhi Chidambaram, Chidambaram's son and wife of Congress MP Karti Chidambaram, is an artist as well as a medical professional. The BJP had made a campaign video to put forward its vision and manifesto, showing Srinidhi Chidambaram performing Bharat Natyam while mentioning the culture of Tamil Nadu.

Not only that, the song mentioned in that part was written by Karunanidhi, a former DMK president and former chief minister of the state. Under these circumstances, the video for the campaign continued to be a source of trouble for the BJP. The BJP's campaign was heavily trolled on social media and the BJP later removed the video.

Congress MP Karti Chidambaram also shared the information via Twitter. The Tamil Nadu Congress tweeted that the BJP had used Srinidhi's picture without his permission. At the same time, he wrote that this campaign video proves that BJP has no vision of its own.

Tamil Nadu is scheduled to go to the polls in a single phase on April 6. This time too, the BJP is trying its luck in the elections by forming an alliance with AIADMK. A few days ago, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a rally in Tamil Nadu.
