Antilia case: NIA raids in Mumbai, Sachin Waje removed from crime branch

The case of the suspicious death of Mansukh Hiren, the owner of a car packed with explosives parked outside the house of industrialist Mukesh Ambani in Mumbai, has been the subject of much controversy.

The probe into the case has now been handed over to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and raids were carried out by the NIA today. On the other hand, the Maharashtra government has removed police officer Sachin Waje from the crime branch in the case.

Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh informed about the matter. Sachin Waje's role in the case is in doubt. Meanwhile, the Opposition has leveled serious allegations in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly and demanded the suspension and arrest of Sachin Waje.

The body of Mansukh Hiren, the owner of the car, was found in the bay under suspicious circumstances and Hiren's wife alleged that Mansukh was killed and his body was dumped in the bay with the hand of police officer Sachin Waje.
