China has slashed its defense budget amid rising tensions between India and the United States. For the year 2021, China has increased its defense budget by 6.8 percent.

China's defense budget has now risen to 9 209 billion. Chinese PM Li Qing made the announcement in the Chinese parliament. China has increased its defense budget at a time when most countries are grappling with the Corona disaster. Naturally, the increase in China's defense budget is a matter of concern for India. "Our effort is to strengthen national defense and not to target any other country," China said.

The growth rate of China's economy has been 2.3 percent in 2020. Which is the lowest in the last 45 years. However, China has not compromised on its defense budget. The budget is increased every year by China. China is still embroiled in tensions with India and the United States. China has largely developed its own missile training area. China wants to rely on missile forces if war-like circumstances arise against the United States. To this end it has developed a number of long-range missiles.
