A priest at the Dasna Devi temple in Ghaziabad, the capital of Delhi-NCR, has targeted former President Abdul Kalam. Narasimhanand Saraswati said at Aligarh that no Muslim in the country's top families could be a supporter of India and Kalam was a jihadi. Without any evidence, he told Dr. Kalam was accused of supplying the atomic bomb formula to Pakistan as DRDO president.

According to the claim made by the priest, Dr. Kalam set up a cell in the Rashtrapati Bhavan where any Muslim can lodge his complaint. The mahant is from the same temple in Ghaziabad where a Muslim youth was allegedly beaten for drinking water a few days ago. Police arrested Shirangi Nand Yadav after the incident. The incident came under fire after it was heavily criticized on social media and now the debate has resurfaced.

APJ Abdul Kalam is credited with making India a nuclear power. His tenure as president is also seen as a successful one. In such circumstances, the temple priest's remarks raise a number of questions.

Former President and Missile Man Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam may not be present among us but his thoughts will always pave the way for us. Abdul Kalam, the 11th President of the country, died of a heart attack while delivering a lecture in Shillong on July 27, 2015. Despite living in the highest constitutional seat of the country, he lived a very simple life and that was his greatest feature. They are equally respected by people of all classes and will always be remembered for their simplicity, high ideals.
