A couple from the US came to India with an iPhone worth Rs 2.8 crore, which was to be sold cheaply here

Smuggling of cheap goods from abroad and bringing them to India without paying any tax is a frequent occurrence. Sometimes there are drugs, sometimes there is gold, which people smuggle. Which is mostly caught on report.

A similar incident has taken place at the airport in Bangalore, Karnataka. Customs officials at Bangalore's Kempegowda airport have seized an iPhone worth Rs 2.8 crore from a couple.

The authority reported the incident on Monday. He said 206 Sealpack iPhone-12, iPhone Pro and iPhone Pro Max were seized on Sunday night. All these phones were petty packs. The couple received 37 debit and credit cards. The couple was of Indian descent and obtained an American passport from them.

Sources said this could be part of an international smuggling ring. It is worth mentioning that bringing so many phones to India is a kind of crime. The couple is currently under arrest.
