A church in Kerala appealed to the BJP candidate to vote

New delhi date. 10 March 2021, Wednesday

The Congress-backed UDF and the Left-backed LDF, along with the BJP-backed NDA as the third front, are now being discussed in the Kerala Assembly elections.

Attempts are being made by the BJP alliance to formulate an equation that could not have been imagined before. This time, the BJP is trying to win over Hindus as well as Christians.

Kerala's Malakar Orthodox Syrian Church has appealed to its followers to defeat BJP candidate Balashankar because he had made a huge contribution to the church's rescue.

If the BJP's efforts to win over Christians are successful, the BJP is likely to make history in the Kerala elections this time. The Christian community in Kerala has a population of 19 per cent and the community is angry with the UDF and LDF.

Earlier, PM Modi had a meeting with the top three clergymen of the community and discussed issues of the community. The clergymen also described the meeting with PM Modi as very positive.

Experts say that there is a love jihad among the Hindu and Christian communities in Kerala on the issues and they allege that some Muslim organizations here are promoting love jihad. Although a large community of Hindus and Christians have been living with the LDF and UDF for years, it will not be easy for the BJP to make a dent in this votebank.
