In Bengal, along with the election campaign, there are constant incidents of violence. A crude bomb attack at Jagdal in the northern 24 Parganas left three people injured. The site of the attack is so close to the house of BJP MP Arjun Singh that the BJP will lodge a complaint with the Election Commission.

Arjun Singh, a BJP MP from Barrackpore, said the three men, along with their colleagues, hurled bombs at about 15 places and also smashed CCTV cameras installed by the police. Police officer ACP AP Chaudhary said three people, including a child, were injured in the attack.

TMC means the politics of violence: victorious

BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya said the investigation into the attack was a "synonym for the politics of violence". He said that even after the implementation of the code of conduct, the rain of bombings and bullets by thugs continued. It is also doubtful whether the polls will be peaceful if the Election Commission does not take the incident as a warning.
