In Rajasthan, the Indian Army and Air Force have jointly tested the Helena anti-tank missile. According to the DRDO, the missiles were launched from an advanced light helicopter pole. One by one, four missiles were tested to test a minimum range of seven kilometers and a maximum range of the missile.

According to DRDO officials, an old tank was targeted for the test. The test was successful. The army uses anti-tank guided missiles to attack enemy tanks.

The Helena missile is a third generation anti-tank missile and operates on fire and forget system. This means that once the missile is launched, it strikes the target using its own guidance system. Is able to strike even at night.
