Amid the ongoing controversy over farmers' protests against the new agriculture law, the BJP on Wednesday accused Congress interim presidents Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi of tarnishing the image of Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar and Sachin Tendulkar and demanded an apology. BJP MLA Ram Kadam tweeted that Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi should stop tarnishing the image of Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar and Sachin Tendulkar and apologize to them. Congress leaders and activists are insulting Bharat Ratna.

In a letter posted on Twitter, the BJP MLA said that a strategic attempt has been made by Congress party leaders to tarnish the image of Bharat Ratna like Sachin Tendulkar and Lata Mangeshkar. He further wrote that he is a veteran and he has served the country very sincerely. His dedication to the country can never be underestimated or questioned. Unfortunately, many Congress leaders are trying to tarnish the image of these giants.

The BJP MLA accused the opposition forces of spreading propaganda to gain international recognition. According to him, the propaganda of the opposition forces to gain international recognition with the support of foreign celebrities has been exposed. When people with no knowledge of the country tried to tarnish the image of the country, our veterans came forward and showed solidarity with the country.

U.S. pop star Rihanna and climate activist Greta Thunberg tweeted in support of the farmers' protest. The government reacted harshly to the matter, which was supported by several celebrities, including Lata Mangeshkar, via Twitter, who became victims of trolling.
