PTI, PML-N activists clash in polls in Pakistan


By-elections were held in the Punjab province of Pakistan. However, it was during this election that violent clashes broke out between activists of Pakistan's ruling party PTI and the opposition PML-N. Two were killed and at least 10 were injured. Activists from both parties attacked each other during the campaign.

Polling for the by-elections was held on Friday in the Daska area of ​​Pakistan's Punjab province, although a major security breach was observed at the Polish station, sparking a dispute between activists of both parties which eventually turned violent. Both sides blamed each other for the attack. Videos of attacks on each other have also gone viral on Pakistan's social media, making it clear that there was no security around to stop the violence when activists from both sides clashed. The PTI government in Pakistan's Punjab province has claimed that the two people killed in the clashes were our party workers.

While eight people are injured. Police will not spare the attackers and are searching for the attackers based on the video. Opposition PML-N spokesperson Maryam Aurangzeb, on the other hand, said that one of our party workers was shot dead by a PTI worker while eight others were injured, four of whom were critically injured. An FIR should be lodged against the Punjab Chief Minister and local police officials for failing to maintain law and order.
