Prime Minister Modi and the Home Minister keep a close eye on the disaster in Uttarakhand

A glacier has broken near Reni village in Chamouli, Uttarakhand. The rupture of this glacier has caused great damage to the power project Rishi Ganga here. At the same time, with the destruction of Dhauliganga Glacier, the barrage in Tapovan has been severely damaged. A team of Tantra has reached the spot for relief operations. Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Shah are keeping a close eye on the whole incident.

Prime Minister Modi tweeted that he was constantly monitoring the situation in Uttarakhand. India is with Uttarakhand and the country prays for the safety of everyone there. Senior officers are in touch and NDRF has been deployed. I am constantly receiving updates on rescue and relief operations.

Also, Home Minister Amit Shah tweeted, "I have spoken to the Chief Minister as well as senior officials about the natural calamity in Uttarakhand. Every concerned officer is working on a war footing to move the people safely. NDRF teams have been dispatched to the rescue. Every possible help will be given to Devbhoomi. The Home Minister further said that some more NDRF teams are being airlifted from Delhi to Uttarakhand. We are constantly monitoring the situation there.
