Petrol-diesel will be cheaper now, Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has shown this big reason

New Delhi, Saturday 27 February 2021

Political parties, ranging from the common man, are targeting the Modi government over rising petrol and diesel prices. Meanwhile, Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has said that diesel-petrol prices have gone up due to the cold, and this happens in the winter season, and with his departure, prices will go down.

"You can't raise prices as it affects the importing countries. Production in the US has slowed down in the last two-three weeks due to bad weather. The situation is expected to improve in a few days," the minister said, referring to oil-producing countries. Earlier, Dharmendra Pradhan had said a few days ago that his ministry was requesting the GST Council to include petroleum products in its limits as it would benefit the people.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had also hinted a few days ago that if the GST Council implements the request for petroleum products, petrol-diesel prices would be halved.
