People aged 50 and over will be vaccinated against corona from March

Giving important information to Union Health Minister Dr. Harshvardhan in the Lok Sabha, he said that vaccination of people aged 50 and above in the country will start from March.

According to him, the group includes 270 million people. It is to be mentioned that corona vaccination has been started for Corona Warriors from January 16 all over the country.

Responding to a question in Parliament, Dr Harshvardhan said that in the first phase, about one crore health workers of government and private clinics would be vaccinated, in the second phase, frontline workers would be vaccinated and the campaign would start from February 2 in some states.

In the third phase, vaccination of people aged 50 years and above will start in March. It is difficult to give a definite date for this but the campaign will start from the third or fourth week of March. So far, five million people have been vaccinated in the country.

At the same time, he informed that 22 countries have demanded for corona vaccine made in the country. India has supplied the vaccine to 15 countries and millions of doses have been sent to these countries.
