Pakistan cannot conspire against India on Bangladeshi and Myanmar soil

New delhi date. 10 February 2021, Wednesday

Bangladesh and Myanmar are all set to monitor anti-Indian activities on the ground. Intelligence agencies will assess the threat posed by any anti-India activities in these countries based on periodic inputs. Based on this, a counter plan will be prepared in collaboration with the agencies of the respective countries.

Currently there is a system of regular exchange of secret information from Myanmar and Bangladesh. According to sources, through this system, the agencies see the potential threat to the surroundings except their own country. The inputs from Indian agencies have repeatedly proved effective in cracking down on radical elements in Bangladesh.

A Pakistan-backed terrorist group is pursuing an anti-India strategy on Bangladeshi soil. There are also attempts to infiltrate through Bangladesh. At the same time, radical elements target minorities. Agencies in both the countries are in constant touch on all these issues. An exercise to strengthen the existing system is underway.

Myanmar is also working on a multi-purpose security plan to enhance cooperation between the two countries' agencies to crack down on active extremist groups. However, following the current political situation in Myanmar, the agencies also have a number of concerns. All the challenges will be discussed in regular meetings, sources said.
