Bijnor in Uttar Pradesh has witnessed a unique protest against the new 3 agricultural laws. A farmer from Chandpur area destroyed his 5 vigha of wheat crop by turning a tractor against it against the law. Digambar Singh, the district president of Bhaktiyu, claimed that a campaign to destroy crops had started in Bijnor by making a video of the incident viral on his Facebook page.

The farmers' campaign against the agricultural law has been going on for the last 3 months. Ther-Ther farmer panchayats are being held in western Uttar Pradesh in protest of the law. Sohit Kumar, a farmer from Kulcha village in Chandpur taluka, took a tractor and a harrow on Saturday morning to clear the wheat and sorghum crop floating on his 5 vigha of land in the forest.

As soon as he came to know about this, Deputy Tehsildar Brijesh Kumar went to Kulcha and visited the spot and talked to Sohit. Sohit had disclosed that he had taken this step in opposition to the agricultural law as he did not get a fair price for the crop. According to Sohit, the right MSP should be met. Prices are different in the market and intermediaries are showing different prices. Brijesh Kumar had persuaded the farmers not to take any such step and was doing himself a disservice. At the same time, he assured that he would take the issue of farmers to the government.

Digambar Singh, the district president of Bhaktiyu, made the video viral on his Facebook page. At the same time, it was written in the tag line that, Modiji, look at the hearts of the farmers. Crop destruction campaign started in Bijnor.

Opposition to not raising the price of sugarcane

Sohit himself told Brijesh Kumar that he had destroyed wheat and sorghum crops in protest of the agriculture bill. According to Sohit, the cost of the crop is going up. The government has not increased sugarcane prices. This step has been taken because sugarcane is not getting compensation.

Empty the field to plant sugarcane

According to some people in Kulcha village, Sohit and his elder brother have a total of 80 bighas of land. Wheat crop is also grown in other farms of Sohit. Sohit had planted wheat in 5 vigha of land a month ago. The wheat crop was poor and he has to plant sugarcane in that land.

One more farmer will destroy the crop

A farmer named Tony from Telipura area has also announced that he will destroy the wheat crop on his 5 vigha of land in protest of agricultural laws. Tony owns a total of 35 acres of land. Out of that, wheat is planted on 10 vigha of land and in violation of the law, it will destroy the crop of 5 vigha.
