With the announcement of Assembly election dates for 5 states, the biggest impact is being felt in West Bengal. The first incident of violence since the announcement of election dates has also come to light in Kolkata. In the Kadapara area, some unidentified persons attacked the Parivartan Rath late at night to vent their anger against the BJP. However, the BJP has blamed the attack on TMC workers and claimed heavy damage to their vehicles and LED TVs.

With the election trumpet blowing in West Bengal, tensions between the BJP and the TMC have intensified. Clashes between the two forces have resumed after the violent incident that took place late at night. As soon as the Election Commission announced the date of elections in Bengal, Trinamool Congress goons broke into the BJP's Kadapara godown at 11 pm without fear and vandalized the LED vehicles and took away the LEDs.

Bengal BJP in-charge Kailash Vijayvargiya tweeted a video of the incident and wrote a tagline saying 'maybe the goons have challenged the Election Commission'. On Friday, the Election Commission announced the dates for the 8-phase elections in Bengal. The main motive behind holding the 8-phase polls was to curb violent incidents but the tussle between the two parties has been frequent.
