Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday addressed Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers on the occasion of the death anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, one of the founders of Jana Sangh. In his speech, the Prime Minister said that India today is moving forward in the spirit of nation-first. Prime Minister Modi said that today when so many positive changes are taking place in the country, the size of India is increasing all over the world, who would be an Indian who is not proud. The activities that are taking place in India today are the reason why the Indian community spread all over the world is living with pride. There was a time when India had to depend on other countries for arms but today India has become self-sufficient in that regard.

Prime Minister Modi said that during the Indo-Pakistani war in 1965, India had to depend on foreign countries for arms. Deendayalji said at the time that we need to build an India that is self-sufficient not only in agriculture but also in defense and arms. Today, India is becoming a defense corridor, a Made in India weapon, and fighter jets like Tej are being built.

He told the Prime Minister that he valued consensus in politics. He also said in Parliament, "Government is run by majority but the country is run by consensus. We are not just here to run the government, we are here to take the country forward. Fighting each other in elections does not mean we do not respect each other." Than. "

The Prime Minister said the Self-Reliance India Campaign was building the future of the country's villages, the poor, farmers, laborers and the middle class. According to him, major changes in the direction of infrastructure will also make the life of the common man easier, giving the country a new and glorious identity. The Prime Minister said that Deendayalji is a great example of how a leader should be in social life, how to live India's democracy and values. During the Corona period, the country kept the spirit of Antyodaya and also worried about all the poor of Chhewada. Through the power of self-reliance, the country has achieved a unified human philosophy, delivering medicines to the whole world and today delivering vaccines.

The Prime Minister said that the task of dividing states was considered daunting in politics and there were many examples of what would happen in the country when a new state is formed. But when the BJP creates 3 new states, the influence of Deendayalji's rites will be evident in its system. Uttarakhand was formed from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar was created from Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh was separated from Madhya Pradesh but at that time every state had a festive atmosphere.

Targeting the opposition, the Prime Minister said, "Our political forces, ideas may be different and we fight against each other with full force in elections but that does not mean we do not respect our political opponent." None of Pranab Mukherjee, Tarun Gogoi, SC Jamir became part of our party or coalition but it is our duty to respect their contribution to the nation.
