Congress MLC Deepak Singh's sarcasm on the issue of Smriti Irani buying land in Amethi

Union Minister and BJP leader Smriti Irani, who is the stronghold of the Congress in Amethi in Uttar Pradesh, has bought land in Amethi. Targeting the BJP on the issue, the Congress said its party was already in Amethi. A Congress House is located at Gauriganj, the district headquarters of Amethi.

Congress MLC Deepak Singh shared a photo of the Congress House in Gauriganj and wrote, "Smriti Irani comes in the morning and goes back in the evening. While Rahul Gandhi is emotionally attached to Amethi." Simultaneously, Deepak Singh also claimed that Smriti Irani would sell the land in 2024.

Deepak Singh called the Congress House at Gauriganj proof of that. Apart from that, a trust affiliated with the Congress also runs a hospital in Munshigaj. In front of the Congress district office at Gauriganj is a palace-like Congress house and the Gandhi family also owns a large house in Rae Bareli. During the trip to Amethi and Rae Bareli, the Gandhi family stays in Gauriganj, Munshiganj or Rae Bareli.

Promised before the Lok Sabha elections

It may be mentioned that Smriti Irani had promised the people of Amethi at the time of elections that he would not have to travel to the national capital Delhi to meet his people's representatives. If the people of Amethi choose him as their MP, they will build a house in Amethi. To fulfill this promise, Smriti Irani on Monday filed a documentary action for the land.
