Attacks on Hindu temples in Pakistan are on the rise. As a result, even the Supreme Court of Pakistan is angry with the government and the police administration. The Supreme Court has ordered immediate repair of a centuries-old Hindu temple that was demolished in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It also asked how long it would take to complete the work.

The Supreme Court of Pakistan has given the order to the government of Sruthanik Khyber province that the historic temple in Teri village here was attacked by a group of Jamaat-e-Ulema-e-Islam party extremists in December last year and broke into the temple.

Following this, human rights activists and minority organizations in Pakistan raised the whole issue and demanded protection of temples as well as action against the attackers.

Following the outrage of the Sruthanikos, the Supreme Court took note of the whole incident and ordered the government to take immediate action. The court said in its order that the temple should be repaired and the work should be completed in some time.

During the hearing, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Gulzar Ahmed asked the government to give a full report on the arrest of some people in the attack and what action was taken. The whole incident was noted by the court by Suo Moto.

In January this year, the court ordered that compensation be paid only to those who attacked and burned the temple. When the government later said that we have sanctioned Rs 3 crore for the repair of the temple.
