Bihar: Property to be seized in Patna from where liquor will be seized and auctioned

Like Gujarat, alcohol ban has been imposed in Bihar. However, people are still drinking by ordering stolen liquor. Due to which, like Gujarat, now in Bihar too, liquor is being smuggled on a large scale by bootleggers. This has created new tension for the police.

In these circumstances, Patna police has taken a big decision to strictly enforce the ban. According to the police, the house or shop from which the quantity of liquor will be seized will now be confiscated by the local system.

The intention of the police to take such a decision is to stop the use of any place for storing liquor. It may be mentioned that a quantity of liquor worth crores of rupees was seized from a godown in Patna recently.

The police have since decided to enforce the ban more effectively. The system says that the quantity of liquor found in the property will be confiscated and auctioned at the same time.
